1. Event categories and player requirements
1.1 Men150 is an all-men competitive tournament. Amateur players are eligible.

1.4 Age is calculated by birth year, regardless of whether the player’s birthday has passed on tournament day. These birth-year thresholds replace the former 2015 retirement cut-off.
1.5 Each team may register one manager, one coach and a maximum of 12 male players, including up to two liberos. A team with two liberos may have at most 10 other players.
1.6 Teams with non-Malaysian players must declare their players’ experience and playing level. Prior BDG approval is not required for participation. See Section 5.

1.8 The libero exemption applies to both state/semi-professional and national/professional players, provided they play only as libero throughout the tournament.

3.3 Knockout stage: single elimination from the second round onwards.
3.4 Each match consists of one set to 31 points. There is no deuce at 30-30; the next point wins the set. Teams do not change sides during the match unless the referee directs a change in a special situation.

4. Playing regulations
4.1 Matches follow MAVA and FIVB rules, with BDG modifications where applicable.
4.2 Organiser and referee decisions are final.
4.3 Each team is allowed a maximum of eight normal substitutions per set. Each substitution counts as one change; a player leaving and later returning counts as two changes. A starting player may leave once and return once only for the same substitute; once the pair is completed, neither player may make another normal substitution in that set.
4.4 Libero replacements are recorded separately and do not count towards the eight normal substitutions. Only one libero may be on court at a time.
4.5 An exceptional substitution requires referee approval when a player is injured, ill or unable to continue and no legal normal substitution is possible. Record the reason. The replaced player may not return for the rest of the match.

12. Version and participant reference
12.1 English, Malay and Chinese editions use the same clause numbering and version. Participants should retain this PDF and check the tournament website for later approved amendments.
12.2 For clarification of any rule or translation, contact BDG at +60126343800 before registration or participation.
13. Personal data, player consent and livestream notice
13.1 BDG SPORT ENTERPRISE and BDG VOLLEYBALL CLUB MALAYSIA (BDG) collect tournament information from participants and their team representatives. This includes names, contact details, IC/NRIC or passport numbers, birth dates and years, birth-state codes and inferred birth states, nationality, highest current or former playing level, playing history, jersey numbers, payment screenshots and match results. Match coverage may also capture faces, voices and other identifying images.
13.2 BDG uses this information to administer registration and payments, check eligibility, manage rosters, fixtures and results, respond to enquiries, and livestream and record tournament matches. Team/player names may be shown in public tournament lists, results and broadcasts. Faces and names may appear in the livestream and its recorded replay. IC/NRIC and passport details support identity and duplicate-entry checks. Malaysian birth dates and birth states are inferred from the NRIC and may require correction; a birth-state code does not establish state-team affiliation.
13.3 Information may be accessed by authorised BDG organisers, tournament officials and providers supporting registration or broadcasting for these purposes. Public team lists, results and match coverage may be viewed by other teams and the public. Streams and recordings may be available online to viewers outside Malaysia. IC/NRIC and passport numbers, birth dates, private contact details and payment screenshots are for organiser review and are not intended for public display.
13.4 The team representative must share this notice with every player and obtain their consent to the stated processing and match coverage before submitting the roster. For a player under 18 at the time consent is given, consent must be obtained from a parent or guardian. The representative must keep the consent records; a checkbox records the representative’s confirmation and is not a substitute for obtaining the player’s or guardian’s consent.
13.5 Required registration and roster details are necessary to process entry and verify eligibility. If required information or consent is missing, the roster cannot be submitted; contact BDG to discuss any concern or requested arrangement before entry. Optional information is identified in the form. Participation alone is not treated as consent.
13.6 Participants may contact the BDG tournament organiser at +60126343800 to request access or correction, raise privacy concerns, request limits on processing, or withdraw consent. BDG will assess the request and explain the effect on registration, participation and future coverage. Material already broadcast may have been viewed or copied by others; removal of copies held by third parties cannot be guaranteed.
13.7 Registration and payment records should be retained only as long as needed for tournament administration, relevant record-keeping and dispute handling. Match recordings may remain available as the tournament replay; contact BDG about any concern with continuing display. This notice does not authorise unrelated advertising or marketing use.
13.8 BDG will handle personal data with reference to Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709), as amended. This notice states the intended purposes and consent process; it does not waive participants’ statutory rights.
